Welcome to Storyteller Knits and Trinkets
Hi,
Not much to see here, is there? You've taken the trouble of following this link only to be presented with an empty website. Annoying, I know, and I apologize.
There's also a good reason for it, which I would like to explain to you.
I'm not just the owner of Storyteller Knits and Trinkets, but also a brand-spanking-new immigrant. As of this writing, I came to the US exactly three months ago. Biggest thing I've ever done in my life. I'm enjoying this new life and all the good things my new home has to offer, and I'm deeply grateful for them.
In terms of running a business, immigration tends to be a bit of a monkey wrench. There's a LOT of paperwork involved and each stage takes quite a while to be completed. Frustrating as it may be at times, I am aware that it is a necessary process. Besides, who am I kidding? I'm from Europe, it's not like complicated administrative proceedings are news to me.
In the course of this process, it isn't easy to know what I'm allowed to do at what point in time. Right now, putting my products and advertising on a public website is kinda iffy. It's sort of allowed, but there are conditions. I'm slowly working my way through them to make sure that I don't do anything I'm not supposed to do. Honestly? It's not just fear of repercussions. In business terms, I've made a deal with the United States government. I can live here and may seize all the opportunities this life is offering me. In return, I promised to abide by the rules. The US government is holding up its end of the bargain. I may not understand all the rules, I may even not like some of them, but holding up my end is a matter of integrity.
Please come back soon, if you like. And if you came here from the Fiber Christmas website, I'm so looking forward to meeting you there!
